Our Awards and Achievements
We became an Investor in People (IiP) organisation in 2003, which means that we are inspected every year by an independent quality standards organisation, Quality South East, to make sure we are improving our services and support the people we care for. In 2006 we became the first social–care organisation in the United Kingdom to achieve the advanced IiP profile accreditation. This accreditation means we have been recognised as an organisation who reviews how we are working and what we can do to improve. This is an achievement that we improved on as a result of the detailed review IiP carried out on us in 2009. We are now working towards IiP Gold, across all our branches. In 2003, the Learning and Skills Council reviewed our work, and we won a Sussex Business Award for being one of the best organisations in East and West Sussex for training and developing our staff.
In 2006, UK Skills inspected our services and we won a prestigious National Training Award for the work we do to train and develop our staff’s skills.
In 2006, we also received theWorking Links Outstanding Achievement Award for ‘Excellence in Continuous Supportive Employment’. In Hampshire, we are working closely with Shaw Trust to bring people into the care sector.
In 2008, the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) reviewed our work and we won the South East Business Awards for ‘Excellence in Skills and Development’, for our work in social care.
In 2007, our head office received a three–star ‘Excellent’ rating from our regulatory body, the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). We have kept this rating each year since. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has taken over the work of CSCI. You can get a copy of our most recent inspection report by asking us, or from the CQC’s website.
We are members of the Contractor’s Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), which means that we have been recognised for keeping to health and safety laws.
