Quality Standards

We have developed rigorous quality standards in direct response to the requirements of individuals who use our service, local authorities who commission our service and regulators who review our service.

Our achievements include:

Investors in People (“IiP”) accreditation in March 2003.

• Winning the ‘Learning Pays!’ category of the Sussex Business Awards 2003/4 for our work in training and staff development, following a review by the Sussex Learning & Skills Council.

• Meeting all standards, and exceeding many, in our latest annual inspection report by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). We are officially an 'excellent' provider of home care services.

• Becoming, in March 2006, the first social care organisation in the UK to achieve the advanced Investors in People accreditation, known as IiP Profile, following a review by Quality South East.

• Winning a National Training Award, the highest level of training and development award in the UK, following a review of us by judges from UK Skills in 2006.

• Being nominated as an IiP Champion 2006 following an audit by Quality South East.  We reached the final 14 in the national quality standards competition run by IiP UK.

We continually strive to be the best through:

• The positive impact that our learning hub and training and staff development programmes have on the quality of service being delivered.

• Our holistic support of staff in the community, delivered through our innovative programme of shadowing, supervision, monitoring and mentoring.

• The consistency and continuity of service being achieved through staff retention and the resultant returns on investment in people.

A management and supervision structure with the proven ability and future capacity to manage the delivery of a person-centred, community-based service.
